Joelene Ranby

Autumn 24 Event

Joelene returned with her ‘How to put the Brakes on Burnout’ presentation to educate us on what burnout can look and feel like. Leading the multi-award-winning Resolution Retreats at Karapiro, Joelene understands women's daily pressures and is passionate about helping women embrace healthy habits.

She talked about the signs that indicate when you're transitioning from your productive zone to the "Overwhelm" zone, and what steps you can take to alleviate the pressure.

One piece of advice that resonated with us was the importance of learning to say NO, (even though it's often easier said than done in a culture that values saying yes to everything).

Joelene’s three key points for reducing pressure before burnout:

1. Communicate openly about what you're experiencing.

2. Remove yourself from the environment that is contributing to the pressure.

3. Seek support from a neutral party, preferably a professional, who can offer guidance and assistance.
